RELAX? NOT AT ALL, IT’S #ESTORILWORLDSBK TIME!
The Estoril track, located near Lisbon, is ready to welcome Superbike circus; after the adrenaline-filled start at Motorland Aragon, the World Championship of production derivatives comes to life. If the last stage generated a real roulette due to the mixed conditions on Sunday, here the weather seems to be more stable. Beware, however, of the strong wind that is usual when racing near the ocean.
Team Go Eleven is looking for revenge after a two-sided first Round, with a rather convincing Saturday and Superpole Race and a crash in Race 2. Here, on the ups and downs of Portugal, last year Chaz Davies took home an excellent result, with the final win. The characteristics of the track are well suited to the riding style of the tough Welshman, thanks to the strong braking points. But … new year, new story!
The passion of WorldSBK returns to be the protagonist in this last weekend of May!

Chaz Davies (Rider):
“We come here immediately after Aragon, which was a nice start of the season, that’s even better because here in Estoril we have really great memories since last year. We are coming to a circuit where the last time on track was the victory, so obviously the initial feeling and expectation are high for the weekend. As circuit in general, I enjoyed it last year, once I got comfortable on Saturday I really enjoyed the layout and I think that we worked really well on the set-up and the race pace. I think that we will start in a really good place for this Round and expectations are high!”
